- more在以下情況可以用于單音節(jié)形容詞前:①more后接than結(jié)構(gòu)作表語表示同一人或事物的兩種特性對比; ②后接than結(jié)構(gòu)作賓語補足語或表語,表示前后兩種情況對比; ③作具有描寫或強調(diào)意義的后置定語; ④以兩個輔音字母結(jié)尾的單音節(jié)形容詞; ⑤需要強調(diào)的形容詞; ⑥與多音節(jié)形容詞并列使用的形容詞; ⑦fond, right等或由過去分詞變來的形容詞時,可用于單音節(jié)形容詞之前; ⑧用在the more..., the more...結(jié)構(gòu)中。
