詞源解說
- 13世紀(jì)初期進(jìn)入英語，直接源自古法語的noter；最初源自拉丁語的notare，意為信件。
用法辨析
- note的基本意思是“筆記,摘記”,指用來記錄平時(shí)一些需要記住的事情的短小記錄; 也可指為了通知某人某事而寫下的“短小信箋”?！坝浌P記”可以說make a note (of),也可說take notes (of),后者更常見。
- note也可指提醒人們對某事加以重視,即“注意”。note引申可指“照會”“評注,注釋”“暗示,含義”“做注釋”等。
- note還可作“紙幣”解, in notes指“以紙幣的形式”,介詞in不可用其他介詞代替,且notes須用復(fù)數(shù)形式。note后?？山咏樵~短語、動詞不定式或分詞短語作定語。
- take a note of是“做筆記”的意思,但如果變成take note of時(shí)則變成了“注意”。
- note用作動詞時(shí)指“將某事寫在紙上”,以便于以后查找,即“記錄”; 還可指被某人或某物所吸引而把精力投入在其中,即“注意”。
- note多用作及物動詞,后接名詞、代詞、帶疑問詞的動詞不定式或that/wh-從句作賓語,還可接以形容詞或不帶to的動詞不定式充當(dāng)補(bǔ)足語的復(fù)合賓語?？捎糜诒粍咏Y(jié)構(gòu)。
