a number of , the number of在用法上有什麼區(qū)別呢？今天我給大家說(shuō)一下：

a number of + 可數(shù)名詞複數(shù) 謂語(yǔ)用複數(shù),意爲(wèi)許多，大量的….

the number of + 可數(shù)名詞複數(shù) 謂語(yǔ)用單數(shù),意爲(wèi)……的數(shù)目,

a number of是“一些”，可以指“幾個(gè)”，也可以指“很多個(gè)”，但縂是一個(gè)以上，所以應(yīng)配複數(shù)形式名詞和動(dòng)詞，

例如：“A number of girls have the same problem.”有時(shí)，爲(wèi)求數(shù)目清楚一點(diǎn)，number之前會(huì)加形容詞，例如a large/small number of girls（很多/少數(shù)女孩子）。

The number of則是“……的數(shù)目”，這數(shù)目衹有一個(gè)，所以須配單數(shù)形式動(dòng)詞，

例如：“The number of girls present was close to one hundred.（出蓆的女孩子有將近一百人。）
