- search的基本意思是“搜查”,指懷著發(fā)現(xiàn)某物的希望而認(rèn)真、深入地尋找或調(diào)查,多指搜索、檢查犯罪的人或違禁的、丟失的東西。強(qiáng)調(diào)所用的努力及其徹底性,含有對(duì)立或不滿(mǎn)的意味,用於比喻可表示“冥思苦想”等。
- search既可用作及物動(dòng)詞,也可用作不及物動(dòng)詞。用作及物動(dòng)詞時(shí),其後可跟人、房屋、衣袋等名詞或代詞作賓語(yǔ)。
- search的目的物常用for引出,而搜尋的地方常用介詞through引出。
