none of them還是none of which

先看下面這一道題:

He wrote a lot of novels, none of ______ translated into a foreign language.

A. them B. which C. it D. what

同學(xué)們看了上面一題的分析后，也許會(huì)毫不猶豫地認(rèn)為此題應(yīng)選 B，理由是none前沒(méi)有并列連詞 and 或 but，其實(shí)這次又錯(cuò)了。此題的最佳選項(xiàng)應(yīng)是A，注意此句與上面一句有著本質(zhì)的不同，即此句的 translated 不是謂語(yǔ)，而是一個(gè)非謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞（過(guò)去分詞），所以逗號(hào)后面其實(shí)不是一個(gè)完整的句子，而是一個(gè)獨(dú)立結(jié)構(gòu)。假若在 translated 前加一個(gè)助動(dòng)詞 was，則此題應(yīng)選 B(which)，構(gòu)成一個(gè)非限制性定語(yǔ)從句。所以做這類(lèi)題要特別小心，千萬(wàn)不要想當(dāng)然，更不要受定勢(shì)思維的影響。又如：

(1) I met several people there, two of ______ were foreigners.

A. whom B. them C. who D. which

(2) I met several people there, two of ______ being foreigners.

A. whom B. them C. who D. which

第(1)題選A，two of whom were foreigners 為非限制性定語(yǔ)從句；第(2)題選B，two of them being foreigners 不是一個(gè)完整的句子，因?yàn)榫渥記](méi)有謂語(yǔ)，而只有非謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞 being。
