enough的用法

1.enough做形容詞，“表示足夠的，足夠量的”，通常與for連用。如：

They had enough cash for a one-way ticket.

他們有足夠的現(xiàn)金買一張單程票。

Her disappearance and death would give proof enough of Charles' guilt.

她的失蹤和死亡將提供足夠的證據(jù)證明查爾斯有罪。

2.enough做副詞，表示“足夠地， 足夠量地，相當(dāng)?shù)?rdquo;如：

I was old enough to work and earn money.

我到了可以工作、掙錢的年齡了。

I'm serious, things are difficult enough as they are.

我是認(rèn)真的，事情照現(xiàn)在這樣已經(jīng)夠困難的了。

Winters is a common enough surname.

溫特斯是一個(gè)相當(dāng)普通的姓。

3.enough做名詞，表示“足夠的人或事”，如：

Although the police say efforts are being made, they are not doing enough.

盡管警方說他們正在努力，但是他們做得還不夠。

4.enough做代詞，表示“夠了”，既可代表可數(shù)名詞，也可代表不可數(shù)名詞。如：

I met him only the once, and that was enough.
